The Mental Health Worker Program is a partnership between Mental Health America of Los Angeles and Cerritos College.  Established in 2006, the MHWP is the first of its kind in Southern California and prepares Community College Level students for employment in the public mental health field.

The program consists of six courses (eighteen units), one of which has an internship component. Upon completion of coursework, students earn a Mental Health Worker Certificate of Achievement.  More information about the program can be found at the Cerritos College MHWP website
