Mental Health First Aid in Antelope Valley

Mental Health America of Los Angeles, in partnership with the Kaiser Permanente Southern California Fund for Charitable Contributions, is providing Mental Health First Aid trainngs for public safety officers, nonprofit agencies, faith-based organizations, educators, first responders, elected officials, business owners and employees throughout the Greater Antelope Valley.

MHALA’s adult Mental Health First Aid course is appropriate for those who want to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Mental Health First Aid Training will also provide a forum to discuss myths and stigma associated with mental illness.

The trainings are 8 hours in length, held from 8 AM to 5 PM at MHALA's Antelope Valley Enrichment Services site at 506 W. Jackman Street, Lancaster 93534.

The partnership with Kaiser allows MHALA to reduce the cost of the training from the usual $100 per person to $25 per person. The training sessions are limited to 30 people. The registration fee is non-refundable and can be transferred to a different training date.
